How to clean shower tile grout without harsh chemicals
Things you will need include the following:
- White vinegar
- Water
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Grout brush (or toothbrush if you don’t have one)
- Spray bottle
- Small bowl or bowls depending on how many solutions you need to make
- Dishwashing gloves
Now how to clean shower tile grout, making your first natural cleaning product, do the following. In a spray bottle INCLUDE 80% of the following:
80% White vinegar and 20% water and shake to mix to make your water solution. Vinegar and water make an excellent and natural grout cleaner for your tile grout.
Spray you bathroom tiles paying particular attention to the grout lines with your vinegar water solution. Let it sit for five minutes, put your gloves on and start scrubbing, scrubbing the grout with extra attention. Rinse with warm water.
In a small bowl make a baking soda and water paste. Now scrub that into the grout lines with the brush, using plenty of elbow grease, and spray again with the vinegar and water spray. The vinegar will cause the baking soda to bubble up helping to clean the grout and cleaning tile. Rinse with warm water.
If you still have stubborn areas make a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste. Apply to hard to clean areas, let sit for 30 minutes and go back in with the brush for your final deep clean. Don’t forget your gloves when working with hydrogen peroxide.
